Our Past Presidents
Rhonda Taylor
Rhonda Taylor has always been actively involved in the community and she is linked to many organizations; but her love has always been with NCNW where she grew up working avidly with youth and fundraising.
She was a member of the Atlanta Regional Section as well as the DeKalb Section before moving to Rockdale county. A few years later in January of 2013, she invited 5 women together in her living room and they organized the Rockdale-Newton Section in just a couple of months.
The Section was chartered with 80 members in May of 2013 hitting the ground running- eager to serve in the community.Rhonda served for 5 years and she led strongly, establishing our committees, creating visibility for the Section, and outlining our initiatives.
Her motto followed that of our organization's founder, Mary McLeod Bethune - "Invest in the human soul. Who knows, it might be a diamond in the rough".Rhonda has continued to live by this motto and serving remains her priority.
She is currently a Georgia State Representative, but you can always find her working with her NCNW sisters as the Section continues to grow and assist women and families in the Rockdale and Newton county communities.
Debbie Hillman
Debbie R. Hillman is the CEO of Developing Human Resources Consultants, a Child and Family Development Consulting Company. Debbie served two terms as President, championing many causes.
She has distinguished herself as a bright, enthusiastic, energetic leader, whose caring compassion and love to “serve all mankind” is exemplary.
This community champion and Life Member currently serves as the State of Georgia’s Good Health WINs Project Coordinator. Her mantra is “service is the rent she pays for her time here on earth”. And, she demonstrates that through her Co-Chairmanship of the Newton County Domestic Violence Task Force and NAACP Community Involvement/ Political Action; while also serving on the Georgia State Political Action Committee.
She gives wings to prayers at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, through her leadership of the Social Action Ministry and Family Council.
Debbie is also a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Chi Tau Omega Chapter, National Council of Negro Women-Rockdale-Newton Section, NewRock Top Ladies of Distinction, and the Orchids. She was also the inaugural president of Chi Tau Omega’s Community CARES Foundation.
