Our Founding President
President's Message:
Greetings:
Having been a member of NCNW for more than 30 years, I am ecstatic to be this Section's founder and its very first president. It is with great honor that I serve with such an amazing organization; an organization that when it "opens new doors for our young women [which] when [it] speaks, its power will be felt".
Organized in January 2013, with 5 founding members; holding our initial meeting in March and garnering more than 80 members prior to our Installation Ceremony in May 2013, our newly formed Section has hit the ground running, establishing our standing committees and chairs, identifying those initiatives we will commit to and volunteering in many other community based initiatives in and around our counties.
It brings me nothing but joy to be among powerful women who understand the plight of of helping others and who selfishly give of their time, finances and love to benefit those near and around us who need assistance. Our members are vibrant, educated, strong, willing- smart women and men eager to make a positive impact in the lives of others. In keeping with Mary McLeod Bethune's mission, we seek to "Invest in the human soul, who knows it may be a diamond in the rough.”
Browse our site and get to know our Section. If you live in the Rockdale and Newton counties, Georgia- join us and help make a positive difference in the lives of women, children and families. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month and would love to have you in attendance.
Warm Regards,
Rhonda S. Taylor
